Arjun Garg wasn’t born into wealth, privilege, or business acumen. After earning a degree in engineering, Arjun took a conventional job at a multinational company. But within a year, he felt restless. He wanted more than a paycheck — he wanted purpose. He resigned, against everyone’s advice, to start his own venture in e-commerce — a platform to connect rural artisans with urban buyers. His first startup, DesiKart, launched with excitement and a small savings fund. But within two years, it collapsed. Logistics were a nightmare, funding dried up, and the artisans struggled to meet demand. Arjun was left with debt, doubt, and disappointment.
