philosophy behind Essens Renewables, and his vision for a sustainable energy future.
Tell us about the journey behind Essens Renewables. What inspired its inception?
Jitendra Singh:
The idea for Essens Renewables was born from a mix of professional insight and personal conviction. I had spent
over a decade in the conventional power and infrastructure sector. During that time, I witnessed both the
environmental impact of traditional energy and the immense untapped potential of renewables in India. I knew
something had to change.
I founded Essens Renewables with a simple mission: to make clean energy accessible, scalable, and economically
viable. What started as a small solar EPC firm has now grown into a pan-India company working on utility-scale
projects, decentralized energy solutions, and corporate partnerships for carbon neutrality. What have been some
of the biggest milestones in your journey so far?
We’ve had several defining moments. Our first major breakthrough was winning a 20 MW solar project in
Rajasthan just a year after incorporation. That project gave us credibility and opened doors to larger opportunities.
Another proud moment was partnering with a global climate fund to build India’s first hybrid solar-wind farm
integrated with battery storage. It was a technical challenge, but it proved our capability and commitment to
innovation.
We’ve also recently launched EssensEdge, a digital platform that uses AI and IoT to monitor and optimize
renewable energy assets. That’s a game-changer for the sector.
